When I feel the need the pray
I often need a hand
For I pray for what I want
Not asking what God has planned

On Bended Knees I go to question
Or to simply say
My life's in need of a touch from you
For norhing's gone my way

In patience He listens to His wayward child
He waits for me to understand
On Bended Knees so meek and mild
Only then will He reveal His plan

My ways are not your ways
Your ways are not mine
But together in faith, patience and love
I'll mold you into something fine

So each day I've learned to trust
That my life is in His hands
Through prayer and faith I know I must
Give in to the Master's plan

Now humbly and reverence
On Bended Knees I go
Not to question or to ask
But to praise my Father so

I can stand in the gap
For my sister who has a need
And for my brother who is lost
To sow a loving seed

And as I pray I find great strength
For His mercy is the source
Of the everlasting precious hope
That drives us to His course

Of renewed faith and unfound joy
Which is for each and every man
For in His wisdom He's given us the heart
To consummate is perfect plan....
